Gratitude is a must!

I was having my breakfast this morning and suddenly the thought about all the things I have to be grateful for, came to mind.

Sometimes it is very easy to focus on the things you THINK are wrong, isn’t it?

Later after the gym, I heard this song on the radio. I had heard it before but had no idea who the singer was. Here is Koffee. Listen intently to the lyrics.

So…..can you list at least 5 things you are grateful for? Gratitude is a must indeed. When you feel yourself getting angry, pause for a few minutes and reach for that list.

I was driving home a few nights ago, listening to The Soul of Grenada when this song came on. Within a nano second, I flashed back to a house party I had gone to, about 32 years ago (I’m not THAT old though!) as a teenager. The image of the shades-of-brown striped shirt with gold lines (hey….it was the early 80’s!!), the tan coloured pants and the high heeled thong slippers (not so good for dancing) I was wearing was vivid in my mind. I even remember who I was dancing with too! -_-

Then I started wondering……..am I getting old? You know they say that the older you get, the more your short term memory diminishes while you have vivid memories of looooooooooooooooong ago. Le Sigh 🙁

Trinidad Carnival 2015 Music

This was the year to be in Trinidad for Carnival. Pity I couldn’t have gone. The music was da bomb. Here is one of my favourites courtesy of the Sound Cloud software. Nice African beat. Makes me want to get a wide skirt and twirl around.
