As I started to prepare for bed after 11 p.m. last night, I yawned. Can’t remember yawning in a long time. Could it be that the exercise I did between 5 and 6 p.m. Tuesday, was going to help me fall asleep quickly?
Tuesday’s daytime activities
Ate breakfast while watching Wendy Williams (between 10 and 11 a.m.) then worked at home from about 11:45 a.m. to close to 5 p.m. Took mini breaks in between, of course. Ate a spoon of organic Almond Butter at about 2:30 p.m. I felt productive on Tuesday for sure. Yay for that. Would the good feeling last?
In the morning, I had set hourly reminders to drink water, after Googling the number of ounces in a gallon (128). I drink from a 20 ounce bottle and in my mind, I’d thought 4 was an achievement, then had my bubble burst when I realised I was 2 cups short. 😲 I fell behind. Water fills you up quite a bit!
Tuesday’s evening activities
I had also set a reminder at 4:45 p.m. to exercise. If I am not careful, I can work work work work work. Then I’d say “cho, cyan bodder” if it got “too late.” I had set a goal to exercise at minimum every other day. Last time I worked out was Sunday.
Did a 45 minute low impact cardio routine from HASFit (thanks Kelly!)
After I got my sweat on, I drank chicken broth because I needed to cook cabbage to go with the Turkey I had stewed the day before and I didn’t want to eat foolishness. But come to think of it, I don’t have anything unhealthy in my house, except the Christmas cake in the freezer.
Showered, ate, refreshed my resume and sent it to 2 people and by 9 p.m., settled down on the couch to continue watching When Calls The Heart……so good. If you liked Little House on the Prairie, watch this show. Pity about the Lori Loughlin scandal. She is a key character on the show and now she has been fired. #Consequences
After journalling, I downed my phone a few minutes past midnight, after ogling Daniel Lissing, the Australian actor who plays the Canadian ‘Mounty’ Jack Thornton on When Calls The Heart. I was hopeful for a fast descent into La La Land. I realised I went to sleep smiling, thinking about Jack Thornton 🤗💕
Success! Fell asleep before the music turned off (I had set it for 15 minutes). But, that was short lived. 😥
I woke up close to 1:30 a.m. I had stopped my water drinking earlier than usual so hoped for at least 6 hours uninterrupted sleep. Nope. Then there were the night sweats. Ugh.
Realizing that I would not achieve my wake up time goal, I turned over with this song in my head. Mi not fighting it. Can’t change overnight. Eventually woke after 7, but groggy, so went back to sleep and got up at 9:30 a.m. Tomorrow is another opportunity init?
